The collection of antiquarian holdings safeguards the cultural heritage of sequential art for future media research as well as institutional documentation.

Do you have antiquarian comics, manga, bande dessinée, cartoons, or graphic novels that you no longer need? Before sorting them out, we would like to present a sustainable alternative for preserving the cultural heritage of sequential art. Our association is dedicated to establishing and expanding a complementary specialist archive to deepen media specific research.

Comics are much more than mere entertainment, as they represent a significant medium of cultural history. Unfortunately, many copies fall into oblivion or are discarded, despite holding high value for scientific and documentary examination. Our association specifically accepts publications from the field of sequential art. Upon receipt, holdings are systematically recorded, professionally archived, and integrated into our collections to make them accessible to researchers, interested parties, and the public.

Sequential art reflects societal and artistic developments, which is why your donation helps preserve this heritage for coming generations and media research. A specialized specialist archive provides an indispensable foundation for the scientific analysis and documentation of the holdings. In addition, materials are assigned a meaningful institutional purpose instead of remaining unused.

Search your collections for works you no longer need, regardless of whether they are older editions or contemporary publications. Simply contact us to coordinate the handover or collection. Supplementary writings, secondary literature, or media for expanding our archive holdings are always welcome.

Furthermore, we welcome dedicated support in systematic recording, cataloging, or organizational tasks within the institution. You can also sustainably support our work by becoming a member of our association or helping us through financial donations to secure the infrastructural prerequisites for operating the specialist archive and realizing our projects.
