  1. LUXBD - Sequential Art Society

Chronicle of Passion

Foundation and Institutional Alignment of the Association

The association for sequential art is a newly established organization under Luxembourg law, born out of the clear determination to represent the ninth art in the Grand Duchy in a permanent, visible and deeply structured manner. In terms of content, it builds directly upon the decades of dedicated professional work of the former associations Cercle Comics asbl and Comicline asbl, without constituting their legal continuation.

This establishment marks a conscious new beginning with a clear institutional alignment, a contemporary structure and expanded operational capabilities. As a central platform, it bundles the forces of the scene, the publishing sector and an interested public, thereby creating a reliable framework for professional exchange, networking, and overall cultural development.

At the core of this engagement is the sustainable promotion of sequential art in Luxembourg and the entire Greater Region, inseparably linked to the high standard of giving its aesthetic diversity, quality, and public visibility a permanent, unmistakable, and unified common profile.

Chronological Register

2025 - Conception and Vision

12 July 2025 – Conceptual Groundwork:
On this date, Ronald Mordiconi began intensive conceptual work for the organization. Guided by the vision of a firmly anchored representation of sequential art in the country, he drafted a structured foundation that combines modern administrative forms with the promotion of a sustainable cultural scene, forming the very basis for the foundation.

04 November 2025 – Presentation of the Structure:
Ronald Mordiconi, Sam Lucci, and David Da Silva officially presented the elaborated organizational concept. The idea of an independent cultural association acting as a central interface for creators, publishers, and a professional public found immediate and widespread support, marking the institutional launch for further development.

30 December 2025 – Shared Foundation Laying:
In close cooperation, Ronald Mordiconi, Sam Lucci, and David Da Silva refined the administrative objectives. Their professional competence created the prerequisites for a professional platform designed to represent sequential art in Luxembourg and the Greater Region while sustainably strengthening the structural framework conditions.

2026 - Establishment and Expansion

07 March 2026 – Official Registration of the Asbl:
The association for sequential art was established under Luxembourg law by its founding members Ronald Mordiconi, Sam Lucci and David Da Silva. The founding declaration was properly submitted and recorded in the official register. This formal step simultaneously and bindingly established the first board of directors.

04 April 2026 – Expansion of the Leadership Body:
The general assembly decided to expand the board by two strategic positions, namely a deputy leadership and a treasurer. The committee now consists of a total of five ordinary members, which permanently ensures a professional distribution of tasks and operational efficiency across the entire institutional system.
