The Luxembourg scene of sequential art has thus far been characterized primarily by isolated, temporary, and project-based initiatives focused on short-term artistic impulses. The association views itself as a fundamental, structural complement to this landscape and as a professionally positioned, officially registered cultural association, assumes an entirely new, coordinating role within this sophisticated field in the Grand Duchy.

The association links classical administrative tasks with modern digital platforms as well as established cultural partners, thereby creating a systematic, future-oriented network. Through a completely independent organizational form and a bundled, academic spectrum of topics, an integrated ecosystem emerges that unites digital services and continuous mediation formats. This deep structure guarantees the necessary administrative stability and public visibility, enabling sustainable, long-term planning for the entire development of sequential art in the country.

The association thus positions itself as a reliable, transparent point of contact for a broad, interested public as well as for strategic partners and sponsors who are invested in a sustainable and substantial development of this sophisticated visual narrative culture.

  1. The association operates as a legally independent asbl with a clearly defined statute, a professional leadership structure, and a stable legal form that secures long-term cultural projects.

  4. The integrated ecosystem of digital services and advanced platform structures closely and directly connects core administrative tasks within the system with active public engagements.

  5. The establishment of the editorial L-IDAC-9 standard further enables a sustainable, in-depth, and scientifically grounded documentation and archiving process for the entire artistic genre.

  1. Many existing initiatives in the local scene present themselves primarily as decentralized networks, temporary single projects, or free working groups lacking a permanent, central legal form.

  2. Current offerings in the country are naturally concentrated on specific subgenres or purely regional traditions, which often complicates comprehensive, European networking for local actors.

  3. To date, civil society activities operate predominantly as isolated, independent efforts that rarely appear as a cohesive, unified structure within the public sphere of the Grand Duchy.

  4. Most concepts rely on decentralized, purely occasion-based formats without possessing a stable, permanent, and central digital counterpart for the community on the global internet network.

  5. Furthermore, mediation is mostly limited to isolated meetings that completely lack a permanent, platform-based, and conceptually well-founded structure within a collaborative partnership.
