The Chronicle of Passion
History of the Founding of LUXBD
LUXBD – Luxembourg Comic Culture is a completely new association that deliberately builds on the experience and ideas of two pioneering predecessors: Cercle Comics asbl (founded 1999) and Comicline asbl (founded 2021).
Driven by the same passion for the ninth art, LUXBD emerges as a fresh start – with a modern structure, professional orientation and greater flexibility.
As an association, institution and official representation of the ninth art in Luxembourg, it serves as the central contact point for artists, authors, publishers, collectors and readers in the Grand Duchy and throughout Europe.
It promotes exchange, strengthens the visibility of Luxembourg comics on the European stage and represents the interests of the entire scene.
LUXBD is the fresh, forward-looking impulse for a strong and unified voice of Luxembourg bande dessinée.
